Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are a cap or cover that covers the whole tooth.

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace one or more missing teeth by joining an artificial tooth to adjacent teeth or dental implants.

When would you need a crown or bridge?

Crowns are used to protect the structure of a tooth that has a large filling or has been treated with a Root Canal. They can also be used to change the shape of the tooth, to correct a bite or even fix a cosmetic problem.

Bridges can be used to replace missing teeth if there are teeth on either side of the missing tooth.
