A dental restoration or dental filling is a treatment to restore the function, integrity, and structure of teeth that have been damaged by decay or trauma.

What does the procedures involve?

There are two types of treatment options, direct and indirect restoration.

Direct restoration involves placing a filling in a prepared tooth cavity and building up the tooth.

Indirect restoration includes crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays and onlays, which are fabricated outside the mouth using dental impressions of the tooth.
